The Petit Bal is back for a new season, with our 9th edition taking place on Saturday, November 22, 2025. We're going to have a great time in a new venue!
What can you expect? A two-course, mostly local menu:
Stoemp!
A Belgian folk mashup based on 38 strings that are bowed, plucked, and friendly, served with a traditional sauce. On the menu: waltzes, bourrées, mazurkas, rondeaux, and other circles. No sausages (they ate them all during the aperitif), but compositions of their own. We don't know if their instruments are organic, but they're great!
Stoemp! are:
François-Pierre – Guitar
Arthur – Nyckelharpa
Pierre – Hurdy-gurdy
Marine – Cello
Feather & Fox
A Belgian-German cello and mandolin duo. Christiane and Victor met one summer in Berlin on the banks of the Spree and have been touring the European balfolk scene with their delicate music ever since. From the outset, the duo has played for dancers and drawn inspiration from their energy. Playful and sensitive, they explore the sound possibilities in the interactions of the twelve strings of their instruments and offer a unique ball, both light and energetic, with a sweet and airy note for dessert!
Feather & Fox are:
Christiane Bisitz – Cello, vocals
Victor Lekeu – Mandolin, percussions
